Default Fees on Numbers Write Up

Can anyone tell me if these fees are withing reason? Left one is for purchase and the right is for lease.

The Market Value Selling Price is the Total Vehicle with options and doesn't include package discounts or delivery. I know of the DOC fee

Sales tax is on the MSRP and not the adjusted price. Why is that?

Doc Fees should never be higher than $150.

I dont know the answer you seek, but I imagine like Texas, those fees are fixed in your state. I would check locally or google it.

Not sure how accurate this is, you may be in a no cap state:

When I bought my truck last year, all fees totaled $440.71. Tax was based on the purchase price not MSRP.
Remember, all their math 'errors' will be in their favor. Doc fees are not official fees. Some fees are negotiable.

I worry about my "Out the door price" and not all the little doc fees. If I'm comfortable at a number... the number I write the check for... they can charge me whatever fee they want and sell the car to me for whatever price they want to write it up as. I'd cross shop that OTD price at a few dealers and let them beat it up, I have a feeling there is quite a bit of padding in there. But my calculation would be equal to : MSRP - negotiated discount to get to my negotiated price - any rebates/discounts + sales tax + (looks like you are buying bed liner and remote start) = my out the door price.

Some states require sales tax be on the price pre-discounts.

I always ask for the buyer's order... that way you see the real story. That said:
Doc fee is insane - tell them to bugger off
Make sure tax is being applied correctly for your state
Be careful on the line items for "remote start" and "bed liner". Did they add these (and are you *sure*) or did they come from the factory? They may be trying to double-dip.
