Default Faster charging time

I have a 2016 f150 with nav. I want to be able to use android auto and quickly charge my android phone. If I get the new USB hub will that charge it quicker? If I charge it now the phone seems to barely charge or it drains the phone.

You need to either get a fast-charger compatible cigarette adapter, or use a regular fast charger on your 110V outlet. I always had the same problem with my phone too, a regular USB is more like a trickle charger when you're phone's hooked up to it.

You guys are missing the question. He needs to know if the upgraded version of the USB hub will charge the phone faster and be able to run AA at the same time. You can't charge off of the 110V and use AA at the same time.

This involves understanding the amperage provided by a standard usb port and how the fast charge works on your phone. As said, you need the fast charge adapter for your phone with the 110v plug.

The port for Android Auto keeps up (charges) when running all main apps and nav etc but the rate of charge is quite slow. Issue with going to other ports or the 110 is that you won't be able to connect to AA.

Note, when buying a USB charger you can always look at the fine print to see what the amperage is. They are all ~5.2v but amperage can vary significantly. If you wan the fast charge you need a fast charge capable 12v (round plug) or the fast charger that came with your phone plugged into the 110.

Have you tried something like this? The second red plug is power only to gang the 5v from both plugs.

I also have a 16 and use AA on a S7. I have found that if the phone is almost charged when I start using AA (from Akron OH to Chicago) it will be fully charged when I get there. If it is under 65% when I start it will still around the same when I arrive. I upgraded the USB hub to the 17s so my wife could use CarPlay. My S7 works the same as before.

I run Iheart radio and Waze during my drives. I try to close all the background Apps before I take off. I have an Apple 8 iPhone as well, I started using it more then the Samsung because it will charge while I am using CarPlay with the same Apps running on the same routes

so to answer your question, no way to use AA and have fast charging.

Ok. OP, go here to read up on ordering the Lincoln USB hub. It may give you more power to give a better charge while using AA.
