I am hoping to gain a little info and maybe insight on a chassis and dash swap I have done on a 2017 F150. I used the body, chassis, drivetrain dash and all the electronics from the truck and placed them under a 66 Grumman Olson step van. I have everything working except for the steering wheels controls. There is +and - leading to the sccm but nothing is functioning on the steering wheel besides the horn. No wipers, brights, cruise control, or radio controls. I have pulled up the wiring diagram and have tried trouble shooting as far as I can for now, I am hoping that someone may have a little insight on what may be causing the issue. The only thing that was not used from the factory set up is the heat and air set up as well as the factory radio. the new stereo is working just fine. I was curious if the HS2 CAN wires from that SCCM are some how tied in to the climate control part of the truck and now that I deleted this it is causing a loss of communication at some point? Is there a way to test the voltages to see if the SCCM is actually working and that my issue is maybe somewhere later down the line? Any help would be greatly appreciated
according to the book i have for my truck the trucks acm/radio only uses hs3. can you plug in with for scan and see the sccm? i am also wondering what you are using to connect to the aftermarket deck for controls. the climate bezel only really talked with the sync module and not the radio of those and wasn't part of the steering controls.
the sccm would tap into the hs2 network and broadcast to all on it and it all goes through the gateway module/obd2 port. as long as that is there it should be getting through.

I found the same thing in the diagram that I have. The radio is installed with an aftermarket kit that uses the factory connections and is supposed to integrate factory steering wheel controls. The only thing that was removed from the harness is at the doors. Since the doors are not being used The door plugs were removed and the door ajar switch has loop has been closed to prevent the dash from registering and dinging endlessly. Every single thing that is ran off of the HS2 lines are still existing and hooked up. It has me scratching my head trying to figure out what is going on with the whole thing.....
The door modules are not connected but the HS2 Can wiring does not go to the doors and should have nothing to do with this circuit. I made sure of that before I started the whole process.
Do you have any active fault codes? That may be a good starting point. Also I see the airbag might have been deployed by the looks of the tape on the steering wheel, is it possible that it has damaged the SCCM or that it is in a failure mode that has to be reset as a result of the airbag.
" WOW" & "WOW" ........Sorry can't help just commenting !!
Kinda takes delivery to the next level !!!
Plz tell us you didn't just wreck a truck to do that?? You bought a wreck right & made it work ??
