Trying to get a rough cost on a premium esp for my f150 here in Canada. 2020 screw with 19,000kms (about 12,000 mi.)
In service date Aug/20.
Don't want to phone a dealer yet as I don't want the sales calls right now.
Thanks for any help.

Flood ford is what I used. You'll have to check if you can buy from them being in Canada

US dealers cannot sell Canadian Ford warranties.

Canadians cannot buy warranties from US dealers unless they have a US address to use as the payment address.

Are there any other Florida owners here? I went to Flood Ford and got this message "We are sorry but due to Florida law, Florida Residents are not eligible for online service contracts. Please contact your local dealer."

Any other ideas?

That's the way Florida is. You cannot buy a discounted extended warranty. That's the only state with that law. Imagine that, Florida...

What should an ESP cost on a brand new yet to deliver F150 King Ranch ..........I don't have the VIN#.

Do most people do the 10 year 120K miles ? I thought I read a few months back that people had gotten them for $1800 for a brand new 4x4.

Any ideas on where to get quotes. Guess I have to have a VIN# first ?

Dont know what it should cost, but it IS NEGOTIABLE!

Everything about the vehicle buying process is negotiable except tag and tax. Everything.

I worked the finance guy over hard a week ago. On both interest rate and cost of the ESP.

I balked just a little bit and he cut a couple of things in half on price. This was just the beginning. The markup on these ESPs is massive.

The game he tried to play with me was “here’s your payment with these different levels of ESP.

No these are separate transactions.
I know the price of the vehicle and that was set already.
Find out the price of the menu items by themselves then start working it down.

I picked out a couple I wanted and added up the deal he was giving me. I shot out a number for all of it, which he declined. But after that he conceded again and came down lower. So I agreed.

On the interest rate I pushed him to the point that he actually called the company he had chosen to finance with and talked to them about getting lower than what he was willing to do.
They will mark up your interest for their own benefit. The lender will come at them with a Buy Rate for you. This is the interest amount they are willing to let you have based on the info on your application. Ask what the Buy Rate is, and you will know how much he was trying to stick you for.

Honda offered me 2.9% for 60 months based on their monthly promo.
I worked him around where he offered 2.15%. This wasn’t good enough, I asked if I could get the 1.9% like they have for 48 months, but in a 60 month note.
He said no, and turned his computer around to show me that my buy rate was 2.25%, so I was already below the buy rate. Then he called Capitol One and they told him he could do 2.09% for 60 and I signed the paperwork.

Dealers make a lot of money in the back office.
I wouldn’t doubt in normal times they make more money there than on the cars themselves.

ilI also made sure to put enough down to not need gap insurance, which of course they have a gigantic markup in.
