Thanks MikeD134 and Pokes.

Just went to Flood and the rates for a brand new one didn't seem too attractive for 8 year 150K. I talked to one salesman and he said that his Ford dealership offered 10 year 150K. Maybe they have shortened it ? Not sure. But thanks for the link. This was the link I was thinking about.

Don't they (dealers) have to see your truck in person before they quote? Flood said anything over 41K miles they don't quote.
But that was on the link. I have found the Premium Care for the Ford ESP and have gotten a decent quote. 5 year 48K for a nearly 5 year old truck, for right at $3K.

I wanted to do that for my nephew who is buying my used truck. And he is in the military.

The rates take a big jump between 125,000 and 150,000 miles. And I'd expect that. Let's face it it's an insurance policy and Ford knows already that for every 100 people paying say $1500 for the ESP they will only payout perhaps $15,000 based on their statistics so they'll pocket $135,000 between the corporate office and the selling dealer.

Do most people do the 10 year 120K miles ? I thought I read a few months back that people had gotten them for $1800 for a brand new 4x4.

Any ideas on where to get quotes. Guess I have to have a VIN# first ?
Get what you NEED and not just the most miles. After thinking about it, I got the 8 year, 48k miles one. This is much cheaper and I will not go over the mileage since I am 100% work from home now. No need to get 150k miles if you only drive 5k/year.

$0 Deductible 8 years 48000 miles First Day Rental: No(Deleted) Enhanced Rental: No Lighting: Yes Key Services: No(Deleted) Commercial: No Snowplow: No ESP Contract: PremiumCARE Options:Price:
$1120 Ford Extended Service Plan

Just an FYI the $200 in Ford Pass points you get when buying a new truck can be used as partial payment on the ESP.

I have a stupid question. This is my first Ford, how do I collect Ford Pass Points? When I buy a new truck do I get points or only on service and accessories?

Don't waste your time. It is marketing to get you to buy stuff you wouldn't normally buy.

You are correct. I got 40,000 points when I bought in 2019. I never use the dealer for service work so wasn't sure if I'd ever cash them in till I bought the 100k powertrain warranty. the $200 discount on top of Flood fords price was nice

Fordpass screwed me out of initial F-150 purchase points and then I bought a new Fiesta ST and didn't get any points either.
