Engineering Test Mode
Just did it on my XLT and it worked. Didn't show me anything usable but it was in engineering mode. Gauge needles shook for a few seconds then went full sweep and settled at normal readings.
I did this and it shows my battery Voltage at 11.5 volts, should I be concerned about this?
I haven't gotten out the multimeter to test it yet but I would have guessed this should be somewhere around 12-12.5v The truck is only a couple months old, it was a late August build, I shouldn't have a bad battery already.

I would go with Forscan if you want to do more than reading DTC's. It is specific to Ford vehicles, and has alot of documentation and support on their website. If a specific PID isn't already in there they will most likely tell you how to add it. I have it but have not used it to any great depth, yet.
