My dad chose the 3.3 as it was one dealer had sitting longer than they liked and made a great deal for him. They had a RCSB 2.7L but he did not want the turbos and possible issues. So far the 3.3 is plenty for him and his RCSB is light enough to feel quick. I rode in my friend brand new F150 new boss bought him. SCREW 2.7L and it felt strong but he was just driving normal. If it was my truck perhaps a 5.0 or a turbo engine.

3.5 EB because it was on the lot and had all the options I wanted and none of the ones I didn't. Would have been just as happy with the 2.7 EB since I don't tow anything real heavy (over 4500#).

5.0 Coyote, because its what the superchargers fit, and I always wanted a supercharged 5.0. I didn't think it'd be in a truck, but life works in mysterious ways lol.

2013 3.5 ecoboost and now a 2017 2.7 and this August I'll be buying a 2019 f150 3.5 ecoboost for towing purposes.
Don't think I could ever own another na V8 again in a truck, now if I was gonna super charge it that'd be a different story

Anyone with the H.O. 3.5 liter with 3:55 gears !!! What kind of fuel economy do you get on the highway. I would love to know.

I was dead set on the 5.0, buuuuuut, bought the 2.7 after hearing about the R&D as well as the how it sailed through the grueling pre-production tests with no discernible wear or damage. Love the performance and fuel economy.

Thumbs up 5.0

I had the 2.7 ecoBoost, had no problems with it. This time I got the 5.0.
