Lets get this moved to the correct model year/generation section.

Unionman64,

Yes, myself and many others with 5.0L between 2018-2020 have oil consumption issues.

Search the forum : 5.0 L oil consumption and you will find lots of threads discussing the issue.

Ford has a TBS out, which helps but is not a real fix.

I did the pcm update, and never changed the dipstick, and my 19 5.0 is down to a half a quart per 5k oil change

Just returned from my 3rd 1000 mile consumption check at the dealer on my 2020 KR 5.0. Gets dropped off next Monday for a new motor. He said they will follow the steps Ford makes them take with bore scoping the cylinders, but he is 99% sure a new motor is in order. They claim motors are now coming in within days of being ordered for a complete long block.
Truck currently has 34,895 miles on it.

its amazing how different of experiences people have with the same product. I have an 18 5.0 and it burnt at the worst a quart every 4k. at 85k miles its down to virtually nothing and here is someone with a newer vehicle and less miles getting an engine replacement. boggles the mind.

They're like a pack of Oreos. Pretty consistent but sometimes you get a broke one. Except for that time they were making them in Mexico for a while and they were all terrible.
