Electronics help please
I have a new 2018 Platinum. Love the truck. Two questions/issues that are related. 1) The drive mode button on the shifter always defaults back to normal once the engine is turned off and back on. I would rather it stay in the drive mode that I select. 2) same deal with the dash computer. I would like to leave it showing a digital speedometer but, again, it always defaults to another place showing towing options. So is there a way to set my preferences so they will stay how I want them? Thanks for your help.

First question no way. Second some how your truck thinks a trailer was hooked up. You have to go into the towing screen and tell there is no trailer

First question: Normal operation...don't even think that FORScan will "fix" what you want to do. Just a matter of clicking the button on the end of the shift selector when you start the truck.
Second question: I'd have to go play with my menu options to see what you're referring to, but off the top of my head, I'd suggest going into the towing menu and select the "No Trailer" option.
I'm guessing answers to both your questions are covered in your Owners Manual.

Off the top of my head, I can't remember exactly what it is, but you can get rid of the trailer (even if you deleted a custom trailer if the setting is still on) in the trailer settings menu.
I remember fighting my 2013 with the same issue and this truck has that same setting.
The digital Speedo will stay on once you've eliminated the trailer and or set up My View in the cluster settings.
Like the rest said. No fix for the default driving mode.

For the drive mode there is a mode memorizer...
