Default EGR Code P1450 / Remote Quit Working

I have a 2015 F150 XLT. I bought it new and had little to no issues with it until now (9 years/165000 miles does that I guess). I recently had the check engine light come on. Checked and received a P1450 code. I notice the truck was hesitant to start after filling it up. Research told me it possibly could be a bad 'canister purge valve' which I hope to replace this weekend. But now my remote start does not work. I replaced the battery but it still does not work. I hit LOCK and START twice and it beeps twice but does not start. There is a red blinking light on remote even with the new battery. Could these two issues be related?

I never knew that. Thanks for the info. Hopefully that will go off after I replace the purge valve it will go away.

1450 code is an EVAP code not EGR.
The fuel tank is under excess Vacuum when the engine is running.
Anything that blocks the Tank from venting with the Purge valve open will cause the issue.
It is happening when the engine is running as the source of the vacuum pull from the Intake at the Throttle body.
Causes great difficulty for the fuel pump to pump fuel to the engine from a closed Vacuum..
Good luck.

Thanks for the details. Is replacing the purge valve a good place to start?

shooting the parts cannon is never a good idea, you really should have it diagnosed to see what the failure is
