No, read more closely... not the icon but scroll through the info display and it will tell you the status of the auto start/stop system.

I don't know what I was thinking, I knew this already. You do have a Transfer case module, the error is not really generic. Two fuses control the module, both are under the hood of your truck, F40 15amp, hot all the time and fuse F110, 10amp hot in start and run. I would be looking under the truck at the axle to make sure the wiring is intact, according to the service manual it is on the backside of the axle. The Transfer case module is on the passenger side of the cab up around the glove compartment where a bunch of other wiring is at. The error code is saying the networking is not working. I have a 2015 8 cylinder, can't believe the fuse box will be much different. Maybe the plug is not fully inserted into the module, won't be the first time.

Gordy is correct. TCCM (Transfer Case Control Module) is not communicating on its info net (CAN). Auto StartStop system needs to know status of E-lock in order to work (needs to be off). TCCM controls E-lock on and off. Check TCCM's powers (two), ground (one), and communication plug.
Gordy is also correct in fuse ID and location of TCCM module.
Maybe even try cycling power to the TCCM to "reset" it,

The problem started last winter when I got stuck and had to fight a while to get out. The e-locker was working then but as I was doing the typical back and forth, hit the brakes, switch gears happy fun time song and dance there was iirc warnings about abs (I think), and ebrake also. Nothing about the diff or locker. Anyway as previously mentioned since that day the locker doesn't do anything when I turn the switch and the autostart also quit working. I have checked every fuse in the truck twice. My next step was to replace the locker switch but I'm sure it'll be a waste of $50. I did notice the connectors for both the e-locker and autostart have at least three wires with the same color.

Any help would be appreciated!
check your battery. if not old try trickle charging overnight

As far as the auto stop/start goes, how long are you driving your truck each day on average? I clock about 30 minutes a day, 15 minutes or so twice a day driving to and from work, and my auto stop/start never kicks on. But… when I go on a road trip, it works like it’s supposed to for a couple days afterwards. It’s possible that you’re just not driving enough to fully charge your battery on a regular basis

This "might" work, do a KAM reset. Whenever I run into something strange like this, it works for me. Disconnect your batt ground at the batt, turn lights on to drain any residual power, let it sit about 15 minutes, turn off lights, and reconnect the batt. Won't hurt a thing if it doesn't work.

Mine does not. It says activated or deactivated when I hit the button and also the previously mentioned icon. There is nothing else about auto start displayed or in the menu.

That is a good idea but I have already done that.

It just never works. Short drives or 3 hour trips.

I checked the fuses and they were good. I haven't had the chance to look under the dash yet. I have previously checked the wiring and plug at the rear and it was good.

I appreciate everyone's ideas. Hopefully something we throw against the wall sticks.
