Default E-Locker Issue?

I don't use the E-locker very often. I use it once in a while for extra traction when I have to backup and clear the very pronounced lip on my driveway. Otherwise one or other of the rear wheels will just spin.

The last time I used it. I immediately turned it back off but when I pulled forward to leave I could tell that it was still stuck on when I turned out of the driveway because of the popping and jerking as I turned.

I cycled it on and off after I got straightened out and all was fine after that.

Is it normal for it to get stuck on at times until you drive far enough for it to mechanically release? I have used the locker maybe three times and it never did this the other times.

I noticed mine didn't immediately disengage before as well. I just guessed it wouldn't disengage while under load but seemed to release after coasting a minute.

Its all about being straight and very little load and it will unlock, after a few feet---nothing wrong with your locker!

Default E-Locker Issues?

Thanks guys. I think the earlier times I have used it I must have been more straight on when I engaged/disengaged it.

Not mine. Just Neutral for going into/out of 4 Low.

I read the manual and I can engage mine up to 5-10Mph I forget which on, but if it does not fall in the correct parameters it will not engage and tell you on the screen!

I did not mention in my OP that my truck is 2WD. I would expect 4 Low neutral requirements would be a transfer case (4WD) only related requirement. I would expect E-Locker requirements to be the same between 2WD and 4WD since this would seemingly be purely related to the rear diff. Inline with what you said, I have never read any 2WD requirements on the E-Locker that required to be in Neutral.
