Im burnt out on dealer trips just to go through “trip 1 It’s your tires….trip 2 ok they balanced …. It’s empty truck bed! ….trip 3 you sure you did your brakes correctly?…..trip 4 your aftermarket sway bar something something ….trip 5 please go away your almost at 60,000 miles” this stuff kills me and it’s like a part time job.

In my Mustang it was felt throughout the center console and shifter thru to the seat. They hooked up a special machine that found the fourth order vibration that was traced back to the differential. the first repair replaced the ring and pinion. The second time they replaced the entire differential as they surmised that it was a bad machining job in the case that caused excessive vibration in the ring and pinion.

Well, pretty easy to see if it is the rear driveline. Put the axle on jack stands, block the front tires and spin them up to speed. Part of the vibrations on the Red Devil were due to pinion angles. The vibes would greatly diminish with 1200 pounds in the bed, so they shimmed it, then the only vibes left were the tires. They couldn't fix the EPAS though, Ford refused to replace it even though it caused a lot of wander and pull.

17xsilver. It started at around 45-50 MPH all the way up to around 65-70 mph. It was enough to cause discomfort when I rested my arm on the console or hand on the shifter for any length of time.
