Default Dorman IWE replacement

Hey guys - I was planning on replacing my wheel hubs and IWE's on my new to me 2015. I bought new wheel hubs and IWE's through RockAuto. I bought the Dorman IWE's and now see that they are vacuum delete wheel couplers. Does this mean that 4wd is always on? Is this a bad thing? has anyone else purchased these?
Any feed back is appreciated.
Thank you!

It just means the IWE's are engaged all the time. You are not in 4wd but the hubs are engaged. This will likely save you from issues in the future with the IWE's getting obstructed by dirt and crap. I would not worry about it.

Do you know for sure your IWEs and hubs are bad? If their good why bother?
You can accomplish the same as those eliminators, by just pulling your vacuum source, and capping off the lines. Very easy to do. I'd just follow the TSB I'm attaching, and send those parts back.
You didn't mention what 2015 you have, so I'll say this. If you don't have 4A, TOD, and you have the ESOF transfer case. you can still do this. The differences are all in the TC, vacuum systems are identical.

Update - I lost 2mpg after installing these IWE's. I drive a ton, 500 - 750 miles a week, so this is significant. Plus, the added noise of the axles turning all the time was annoying to me. Needless to say, I'm pulling them out and putting OE back in.

The noise was that apparent? You'd think they wouldn't make anymore noise than OEM.

I recently ordered new Hubs through fordpartsgiant.com I wanted OEM, after a month jacking around with them not actually having the parts in stock they canceled the order as unavailable and refunded my money. So I want back to Rock Auto and ordered the hubs but they do not list what manuf. brand they will be shipping, the part number listed on the order is the same as the Moog brand, but who knows they get here tomorrow.

At 1/3rd the price of unavailable Motorcraft hubs I expect them to be cheap Chinese crap.

So what I am asking is what brand if any were the hubs that Rock Auto sent you?

And now I see Rock Auto lists no hubs available for F150 4wd of any manufacturer. I guess I will have to be satisfied with what I get, not what I want. All because Ford made a **** poor one way vacuum check valve.

It's not the IWE's that are making the noise, it's the axles always turning. While the front differential is not engaged, the axles are. It's like driving in 4WD all the time, and at 80MPH on the freeway it drones....

I ordered the WVE 1S12254 from Rock Auto. And you're probably correct in thinking they're not made in America. I should have them today and I'll let you know.

I bought MOOG hubs a while ago. They literally are cast with "FoMo." My bet is MOOG makes them for Ford.
