Door Code Retrieval - Only One Key?
Do you guys know a trick to retrieve my door code through forscan with only one key? Is there some other way, or can I create a door code with just one key and/or forscan?
Thanks guys! I just googled it and I’m looking now.
If anyone else needs this info, here is how I found it.
I had to remove the passenger’s foot rail, the kick panel and fuse box cover. The small sticker with the code is on the back side (faces the passenger body side), and listed as “key code”. It’s tough to read and it’s tucked in there.
Most directions online say the smart junction box above the brake pedal, but after taking it all apart, I didn’t find that. Passengers side on the back of the fuse panel box was the trick.

Also, even if you set a custom code, the factory code will still unlock the truck and always will.
Personally, I have no idea what my factory code is, but I know where I can find it if/when I need it.
To add to that advice, create a custom code to use regularly. Videos can be found on YouTube as to how to do that. Don't use your factory code regularly. That way, if something ever happens with your custom code(falls into the wrong hands, so to speak lol), then you can delete it and create a new custom code. You cannot delete the factory code...well you CAN, but it's definitely not worth the headache.
