Does runnin 93 instead of 87 . . .
Spent the majority of my 58 years telling guys that higher octane won't help your stock 8.5-1 motor a bit. My hot rod motor is pushing pump gas limits at 10.75-1 compression.
Who would have ever thought that we could have a stock street motor running 12-1 and the computer would somehow get it to even run on 87 octane? On my 5.0 the change to 93 is obvious and dramatic, and running 100 octane E85 even more so. To me, getting it to make more power on 93 isn't the impressive part, getting it to run at all on 87 is.

And the $60k Corvette is running better 0-60 times than the fastest production car in the world at $1 million of which there were only 7 in the US owned by 5 people about 20 years ago (McLaren F1). Technology.

Yep, that is really crazy and I'm not sure I believe the C8 Corvette that weighs 3,400 lbs and has 495 hp will do sub 3 second 0 - 60. My C7 at 3,420 and 460 hp is lucky to do it sub 4. And now you have to watch you back lest you get blown off by an electric car!
Apparently the mid engine configuration combined with fancier technology for the launch control really helps put allll the power to the ground with ridiculous efficiency off the line.
My I-just-won-the-lottery Ferrari has three electric motors supplementing the V8 for a combined total of 986 hp and 590 torque with a claimed 0-60 of 2.6
2.6. Accompanied by the soundtrack of a 4.0 litre Ferrari V8

Just don't put any Corvette against a production Tesla P100 and coming soon the Tesla Sport Coupe. There were at lot of long faces at the drags a couple years ago from Corvette and Hellcat owners.......
Yeah, I know, different technology............
Yeah, I know, different technology............
I don't know what that is, internet search says its some kind of gpu or graphics card or something
