Do I have the wrong bumpers ??
On the Ford site and in the brochure it says this:
King Ranchฎ Chrome Appearance Package Includes:
20-inch Chrome-Like PVD Wheels
Accent wheellip moldings
Bright belt moldings
Chrome door handles with body-color strap
Chrome front and rear bumpers with chrome end caps on front
Chrome front tow hooks (4X4 only)
Chrome skull caps on exterior mirrors
Chrome three bar-style grille with chrome surround and chrome mesh insert
Tailgate applique
My 16 KR has the King Ranch Chrome package, but it has the painted rear bumper and painted end caps on the front bumper. Dealer said it 's the way it came from the factory..... which I believe. But is it something I should pursue with FORD ? I personally like the looks of chrome bumpers better. The painted ones look nice, but I have concerns like how easily the painted bumpers chip being my biggest worry. Also, with this being a lease, will the company doing the final inspection be expecting the chrome bumpers (as specified by the above FORD information) and try to charge me for them not being on the truck ? I'm less concerned with that, but it is something to consider for 3 yrs down the road.
Anyone else have the King Ranch Chrome Package and also have the painted bumpers like I do ? Was mine a factory mistake ?

King Ranchฎ Monochromatic Paint Package Includes:
Monochromatic Paint (Two-tone delete)
Wheellip molding painted body-color
I'm less worried about the front end caps as I am the rear bumper actually. I have never liked the painted bumper....seen too many of them start to rust after 1 of our wonderful North East winters and the amount of salt used on our highways..... I have a buddy with a 2013 with the Sport Appearance Package, which also has painted bumpers and he has had to have his rear bumper painted already once from rust, but Ford covered it under warranty for him. But also said it was a 1 time "courtesy" repair.

You have 2 tone but not the painted bumpers ? I was looking at a nearly identical Lariat to my KR (color scheme wise... Bronze fire with caribou 2 tone) and that had the fully painted front bumper and painted rear bumper. I think almost every 2 tone Lariat I looked at was that way also....hhmmm....
All King Ranch F150's that have 2 toned paint scheme come with the painted front end caps to match the 2 tone paint. You cannot order a 2 toned king Ranch & get solid chrome front & rear bumpers, it won't accept the order.
