Default Do the fender emblems separate?

For example, can I leave the trim level and remove the "f150" and replace them only?

They separate but I don't know if it's in the manner your hoping. I'm think all the black (behind the F150 and the black bar the trim is on) is one piece and all the chrome (f150 & trim) is another. Most people I've seen color match the black parts for a clean look

They come apart in a few pieces. The piece surrounding the trim level, the chrome piece (including the trim level letters), and the black plastic base all separate from each other.

FYI - the EcoBoost badges come apart as well.

Everything comes apart. Ovals, "f150's", and the ecoboosts

Hmmmm... well here is my goal..
I have a 15 roush f150. The "roush" is a black rectangle and the f150 is the normal chrome. What I was thinking of doing if it works is get two rear 17 raptor f150 black emblems and swap out the letters if possible and leave the trim level in place and on the truck. I know the rear f150 only sticks on so I'm wondering if it's possible

So the f150s come off of the backing plate and I can leave the plate on the truck? How would the "f150" pop off the plate?

The back plate, the chrome, and the bar with the trim designation are 3 separate pieces, all held together with plastic welds. You need to pull the whole emblem, clean off the double side tape, cut the welds and separate. Never seen it done, leaving the black f150 plate on the truck

Question for you. How did you remove the "leaf/road" piece? Is it a decal?

Yes, it is just a mild adhesive holding it in place.
