Default Driveline rust?

Have any of you started noticing rust on the driveline shaft? Seems like I'm also getting some on the rear differential too. Is this normal?

Quick, trade it in, it's about to fall apart.

Yes, my 2016 rear diff is almost completely covered in rust, also the rear axle is starting to rust. I owned a 2004 and when I sold it 3 years ago, it had less than my 1 year old drive train.

Salted roads definitely play a part.

Mine came straight of the lot alittle rusty....in fact I looked around on the lot and they all had rust. I gave her a little love in the drive way with some spray bomb and she looks a million times better lol. it kinda sucks that ford is pinching pennies by skimping out on paint but I guess that's just business. I highly doubt the rust would cause any damage in the life time of the truck tho. Some people could care less about the surface rust but to me it looked crappy from behind seeing a rusty dif on a brand new truck. My rear drive shaft is aluminum so it was pretty but no such luck in the front lol

The rust won't bother a thing. Ford hasn't painted the drive line that I've seen in any of their products. Never hurt anything. If you want to spray some paint on it go for it.
