Default Disable Auto Start/Stop in seconds?

Hey guys... Saw this on an ecoboost fb page. Any validity here? I would be afraid that this plug has more to do than recognize brake pedal position in auto start/stop. I know many people disable it with forscan but those who are not good with computers, maybe this is a good trick

In theory, it would prevent shutdown since it thinks you don't have your foot on the brake. But my question is, does it do anything else that you're disabling that you shouldn't be disabling? Maybe ABS uses this too? Or something else? I'd look into it much more before just unplugging it.

This would be awesome if it's true. Seems unlikely though that someone hadn't came across this yet though. Wonder if the 17's have it too?

Typically brake pedal position sensors are used for many things such as cruise control, abs, skid control, brake lights, etc... This is something I would NOT recommend unplugging.

Just take an extra two minutes, unscrew a few bolts and put in the jumper wire. I wouldn't try this.

been easy to offer like BMW. Push the switch, it stays off till want to use it. But than wouldn't give ford more repair money
for the problems coming for start and stopping every few seconds in traffic. It will wear things out faster and offer no fuel or emission savings

fuel savings would say no. The fuel calculator on my in town stop and go traffic is 13. On my 14 GMC all terrain 5.3 it was 16.
For my driving, maybe 3, 4 cars max at light or sign. It shuts off every pause for the cars to go through the intersection. The lights
stoppage if 60 seconds maybe a couple of minutes. If count all the starts that motor does on my short errands is crazy. If greenie
weenies want to use it, fine let them turn it on. I've had the D***N thing shut off pulling into garage if pause for door go up.

It would be a lot easier, and make more sense, to just be able to push a button to activate start/stop.
