We have an all electric A/C system in our Toyota Prius and it's great. Sit with no engine running for quite a while with cold A/C blowing. HOWEVER, that A/C runs off the 240v battery..... you'd need a much higher source of power than a 12v battery.

which is why these mild hybrid systems being used in the Ram/Wrangler and other vehicles is a 48v system. Enough power to give a bit of initial acceleration boost but also capable of running things like an electric ac compressor down the road.

I ran across a YouTube video that mentioned you could unplug a connector under the dash on the left side of the brake pedal. There is a white module left of the brake pedal with 3 connectors. Unplug the bottom plug which is the smallest of the three. I haven't had an issue yet . I'm not sure what other functions this may affect.

It's called coordination, for those that drove stick shift, should be a cake walk, those that never did, they probably wouldn't know what feather the clutch is much less than be able to do it to the brake pedal without thinking..it's when you think about it and it wins, peeps get pissed off and want it disabled

Yes. We have all noticed that. Some of us don't really care that you can concentrate on finessing the brake instead of concentrating on everything else that requires your attention while operating a vehicle.

I was nervous about unplugging this connector on a 1 week old truck, but I have driven without it for 3 weeks and everything seems fine.

i have read that this method deactivates trailer brake controls if your truck is equipped with them.

Ok, I'll bite, lightening up on the brake(if done correctly) is still going to stop your truck safely and allow it to run. If one wants the motor to shut off, press more. Has no effect on rear end collisions. If people need to take more brain cells to figure out how to control start stop that would cause or prevent a collision, they need help. Takes more mind control to tone out the wife's voice or figure out what music your listening to. Heck, get rid of the Gabby mouthed passenger, use 2 hands on the wheel, shut off your cell phone and never ever check out the babe jogging down the street. Lol, distractive driving case 1 in the supreme Court, your honor, my *** system caused my accident because I had to focus on how much I am unable to control it..
