I could be wrong but my panel dim switch dims the panel lights , turn the auto dimming selection to off and the dimming message goes away and then i believe you have to manually dim the center led panel.....

you are correct. If set to auto, you see the message at start up each time. If you press the +/- button it will override auto and message won't display unless you return to auto in the settings.

The solution to the dimming notification is by dimming the light with the button by the headlight switch down one notch below full brightness hope that works for you. Didn't come back on after I did that
