As you see that defeats future quotes. Maybe just bold and italicize...?

Good information though. I wonder if Ford engineers are just reducing heat load on the diff's internal solenoid for longevity. Maybe also part of their overall energy reduction programs like their "battery tender or minder" or whatever they call it. The diff solenoid has to be heat resistant though, the extra heat from 100% current can't add much more heat than the gear heat itself. An odd place to control duty cycle, unless it's for the TCCM.

That could be it. It seems other aftermarket ELDs are 100% duty cycle rated, so it seems strange like you said for Ford to do something different there. If it's for the TCCMs benefit, I could see that as plausible, however I would think it would be harder (more expensive) to make a PWM signal than to install the appropriate hardware to handle 100% duty cycle dissipation through the module.
