I have the F150 version of that kit that I am not going to use. I'll make you a pretty good deal on it. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

I can see it being fun for slinging mud....or just playing on a wet, empty, parking lot....

I could see it for charging up a sand dune. That's the good thing about the ARB that I have in my Bronco. You get to say when it is locked or not.
That being said,I think I know why Ford would want it locked at high speed.

Mud. You need full power and wheel speed when mudding.

Ok, to clarify. Fully agreed that a locker on snow at speed = bad. Locker in soft sand, mud, parking lot brodies, etc. = good. Welded diffs = waste of time. Spool it and be done.
I want it because I want it.

It can be done, isolate the wires from the rear end pitail. Cut them and run new wires to a switch, give it 12 volts and you’re golden. That’s what I did

Harry your pm box is full. Can’t reply. Is your kit from SPE or are they a reseller? I emailed them and they didn’t know if it would work or not. It didn’t say anything about an F-150 specific kit.

Cleaned out my Inbox. Yes, I purchased direct from SPE last year and it has 15-17 F150 specific instructions. May work with newer trucks as well.
