Default Deer!!!

Smacked a 50lb doe yesterday. Adjusters and body shop came just short of $9k. Anything I should be pressing the body shop on? Looks like they are replacing the intercooler, radiator, trans cooler etc. truck has front facing camera as well. Thoughts?

Ouch...always push for OEM parts and if you have a choice pick a good body shop with a good reputation.

100% agree with this

My Ford dealership here has a body shop and I took my '13 F150 to them when I hit a deer in 2016. All OEM parts and the truck came back flawless. It was also a $9k deer..

If there's anything you wanted to change about your truck, better act quickly with them too lol. I had them change to a different grille on mine.

Typically, I've seen these cause even more issues because the metal from the grille guard gets lodged into other parts of the truck. IMO the best defense is a complete front end replacement bumper/grille-guard combo. I've never had one but have several friends who literally say that deer bounce off of theirs and cause almost zero damage. I haven't ever found one that I liked the look of

If you want to customize anything on the front end (different headlights, PTM grille, front end replacement, etc.) now would be the time.

Agreed. Those brush guards are damage adders. They will not stop any damage from a deer impact. A full off road front bumper with grill guards will stop damage from animal impacts. Something like one of these.
