Default Decals

Ok, I've tossed this idea around in my own head for a while now, and I'm seriously thinking about putting some decals on the side of the truck to break up the huge lack of definition. I have a magnetic XLT that looks almost identical to the truck pictured (google pic, don't have a pic of mine just now).

These are the decals that I'm thinking about getting... what's your opinions?

So it would look like a special edition now?

I had a set of the Mopro on my 13. Great quality and good price.

Ordered these for my 16. It's bold and different, but I like it.
This is just a photoshop of it.

I tried to be brave and did this on my own 2 weeks ago, YycF150.. It could have been near perfect except for the bubbles. Tsk!

They didn't come with a premask over them?
I used to work for a vinyl graphics shop as a designer/installer. None of this scares me lol.

Yycf150: like the look of the 13'. Very timely thread! I have been considering doing the same thing to my 16 Flame Blue XLT SC Chrome Pkg.

I was looking at getting silver hockeysticks and hood decal instead of the black. I think it might go better with the Chrome package.

These decals would look sick on your truck:

Or there are always the Raptor graphics (people keep assuming I have a raptor now)

My opinion: don't do it; at least not with that particular layout. Maybe if you could design your own that didn't horrendously bisect the truck. It just doesn't look thoughtful to the lines of the truck to me. I think that particular decal (and unfortunately most I've seen to date) tend to cheapen the look of what's a pretty smart looking truck. I do think there are some custom possibilities that would work, but you'd want to spend some time with a designer to nail it.

I think there's plenty of definition provided by the angles in the panels already. Again, MHO since you're asking. At any rate, have fun and enjoy your truck!
