"hey Siri" works well since you don't need to push any buttons but it has to be plugged into charge. If you have a battery case, it will work all the time as long as the case is powered on. Mine is plugged into the usb in the truck all the time so it's quite handy.
I think there are a couple of aftermarket car stereos that work on most OS systems but I'm sure they're expensive.

I understand that specific info may not be available for public release but I'm sure a lot of us are wondering and if you could let us know any available info (or hints), that would be awesome.

I like my MFT but I would like to see more robust features added and some new improvements so that the IVT is on par with Dodge and GM.

I recently got to look at a coworkers new Dodge infotainment system and I was impressed, and a bit envious.

I've read Ford dumped Microsoft in favor of [Blackberry] and just speculate that this will mean a new software infotainment system soon as well.

Also, will hardware be changing as in touch screens?

Thanks for your hard work and I look forward to future technology from your team.
Did Ford actually say they were officially giving up on Sync and moving towards QNX? I've never seen them officially say that was a done deal, only that they continue to evaluate all options. It's been several months since I read about it so maybe something has changed. My co-workers Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT's setup powered by QNX is pretty slick, his voice recognition on NAV is pretty bad but that's about the only complaint. What I really want is Android Auto functionality!

Just eliminate the following procedure, as it is needed every time I drive my F150.

BING - PLEASE SAY A COMMAND - "BLUETOOTH AUDIO".......

Every bloody time. My work vehicle, a Ford Escape, does it automatically. Bah.

The issues with sync are they basically used winmo 6 platform, not 7/8 so there's a tech gap, mostly due to the swb cycle (but have had more than enough time imo to catch up/upgrade). Cortana would be a huge upgrade but is going to take a clean sheet rewrite to get & with ford winding down their relationship with MS, I don't see that happening.

You'd kind of think on one of their flagship vehicles like the f-150, with a complete new redesign, they'd of thought about pushing their next gen infotainment system into it as well... Kind of disapointing, but overall the system isn't horrible.
