Default Dash Warp

Sorry to bring this up, and rest assured I have read lots of topics on this subject, but I am curious if anyone knows if the dash warp issue has been resolved. In other words: the replacement dashboards won’t experience the same issue. I have a 2019 XLT, bought a few months ago, and while cleaning it the other day I noticed the dreaded warp. I would like to get it replaced considering I spent quite a bit on the truck. I would expect a solid product as a result. Most threads on this subject seem to end around Fall 2019 with no indication that the issue is resolved.

Just looking for insight. Thanks!

Im sure it will be fixed for the new 2021 model, but as for 15-20 its still going on from what i can see... I had a new dash put in my truck in 2019 and it is showing signs of warp again. It doesn't appear to be as bad as the original, but it is definitely doing it again.

It would have to be pretty bad for me to have it replaced. I would be worried about poor fit and dash squeaks and rattles after the "fix". Squeaks would bug me more than the warp...

Mine was warped really bad... When I got it back it had a rattle under the center speaker, so I took it apart and figured out it was a wiring harness that wasn't put back correctly. I proceeded to fix it with lots of electrical tape, no more noise since.

My 19 XLT has a slight warp since new. To me it’s a non issue.

My 2019 XL had the warped dash from day one. It isnt severe, and so long as I dont hear any noise or rattling coming from it, I rather not risk replacing it and having the situation become worse. For a $36K truck before rebates, sure I expect better interior build quality. But if it makes no noise and is the only problem I ever have with the truck, I'll take that deal every time.

Same, I don't even remember it's an issue... until I see threads like this and go "oh yea, mine is warped too"...

This is a recent thread on the subject. Quite a few people have reported the new dash warped also. There are also quite a few people who had squeaks, rattles, scratches and other issues after replacing.

I will not be replacing the warped dash in my 2019 unless it continues to worsen to the point of being unbearable. Obviously that is very subjective.
