Dash Warp
Plus, the Lariat dash seems to be the only real fix. It’d probably look OK in an XLT, but would look out of place in the sea of black plastic and cloth in my XL.
Even though it could bother me if I stare at it, I usually forget about it until it’s brought up again.
I also will eventually swap for a Platinum dash which I hear doesn’t have the bump. No installer/tech will ever take the care I will when they replace it, so for now - I will learn to live with it.
Here's a question, if more F150s have a warped dash than not, is it really warped or by design? Maybe the trucks without a warped dash, have a defect?
Since it's just plastic and isn't anchored in the center, it's just going into a shape that's allowed by it's thickness. I don't really know if mine is warped but probably is and was when I bought it. It was only on the dealers lot for 4 months but the dash on the passengers side isn't flat. The dash is higher at the center seat and slopes down toward the passenger seat. A hump I guess.
No way would I remove it for that, if it is. My experience is that things usually are better left alone as it could be more of a problem after yanking it out and stuffing a new one in.
Wish I could remember what my '16 dash looked like, but I didn't fixate on it.

As I have been going to stores and such lately, I have been eyeballing other F150s. It seems the 19s suffer from the dash hump more than previous gen models. All gens have the vent warp, but not all have the hump.
I have a 16 it has very slight at both vents. Can't even tell from inside.has not gotten any worse. I tinted my windshield now it is realy hard to see it from outside. My buddy had s 19 and it is realy bad at the vents. It's almost the entire length of both vents. Plus a huge buldge on the passenger side. He is getting it changed. When the do his leaking eco oil pan. I feel for him. I would want mine fixed if it looked like his.
My ‘18 XLT has the warp on the pass side but it’s not bad, doesn’t rattle and you can’t see it from the outside (obscured by wiper arm). Couldn’t care less about it. I worry more about clogged heater cores, cam phasers, chains, transmission problems and water leaks. None of which have happened but just hanging around here keeps reminding me to worry about them.
