Default Dark Car enabled on 2018 and nothing changed?

I've managed to figure out how to use the Forscan enough to locate and enable the "dark car" line in my new 2018 Ford XT 150. Mainly I want to avoid having my truck light up like a Christmas tree every single time I glance at it. Unfortunately it seems to have changed nothing.
Has anyone else here found another method to turn off the light show? If so I'd love to get some ideas.

Thanks in advance Daily

Dark car kills the interior lights, shortens the flashes/honks associated with remote start/entry, etc. Police car mode.

And if I can't enable it on my 2018 when it arrives, I'm gonna be pissed!

Hey all, I have found the way to change the setting. Ford for some reason calls it "Silent Mode 5" it is found in the same BCM as Dark Car mode.
I discovered this in a sight about astronomy of all places.

As for the reasons to do this, other than nefarious, I am a full time RVer so I spent most of my time out in some pretty remote spots were the dark is important. Anybody who camps out in the wilderness doesn't want to be a nuisance by blinding everyone in shouting range if they forgot their reading glasses in the truck. It seems our astronomy geek friends also covet the dark. This also should reduce the melting of the Cargo Light on the back of the cab.... which still functions with the button on the dash, so this is a real win win for me.

This Forscan thing is pretty awesome.

Thanks Daily.

On my truck, if the headlight switch is simply set to off rather than on or auto, then all the exterior lights don't come on and stay on for 30 seconds or whatever they do after you get something out of your truck aside from just the parking lights for a few brief seconds. You can also disable the interior lights by pushing the disable button up on the console.

I can still understand why some of you guys would rather just disable all that permanently in Forscan though. Anybody else looking for something just temporary could just do the above.

The Forscan change can be returned to the factory setting later if you don't like the Dark car/ silent car mode, I found that turning the lights to the off position still allowed the light show every time I unlocked the truck or opened a door and this was what I was trying to avoid.

The interior lights still function as normal (you can shut them off via the overhead switch). In a dark environment the parking lights combined with the cargo lights are surprisingly bright. So for some this might be the way to go.

By the way the horn doesn't sound on the double push lock (I think, I'll test when I can) .
