Current SYNC 3 and CarPlay/Android Auto Information
Howdy, so I have been reading this thread since Page 50, and the files are still downloading, so I havent read the readme.
but if I can ask for one clarification please.
I have a 2016 Larriot, Sync 3 v1.0 (with NAV)
do I need to install:
http://blog.namesbychris.com/SYNC3_N..._V1_to_V22.zip
then
http://blog.namesbychris.com/v22NAV.zip
or just the

Chrome is reporting the V22NAV is much smaller, which is whats confusing me. I have looked, but I dont see any step by step directions, or I missed them in my old age

Not completely true. I was informed by sale information and the salesmen the unit would connect right out of the box. The reason I checked it out is I had an option to go Ram Pickup with the Uconnect system (so much more robust and tested), but love the F150 trucks.
I have found nothing stating a hardware upgrade would be required for Apple CarPlay. It is BS and Ford should step up to the plate and do the right thing. Even in current documents it boast AA and ACP, but if you buy a unit that has been sitting on the lot for some time you will end up without them functioning. Sad!
Oh, and your attitude suck, just for the record.
So, for folks looking for the blue light USB hub out of the new Super Duty PN HC3Z-19A387-B, it looks like it has been discontinued, at least according to TASCA and a few other places. But there is a new PN HC3Z-19A387-C, I ordered one from Anytime Ford Parts, for $54.50 plus shipping.
Got an email from them within an hour saying they are shipping from the vendor on 12/19, so i probably wont see it until after Christmas but I can wait.

It takes some times, seems like the upgrade does some post processing of the Nav map data after the upgrade. You will also notice that Sync is also a bit slow, after all this post processing is done, things are back to normal.
Just wanted to say thanks for the 2.2 upgrade work!
Biggest thing I'm noticing so far is how lightning fast voice recognition is for calling, makes and receives calls so much faster now it's nice!
Even the Siri interaction is smoother with a much smaller delay between when Siri actually listens and responds. I was able to ask Siri when Costco opened today as I was within about 20 seconds of making the turn to head there or not.
The animations seems smoother and interface is snappier, coming from v1.0. So even the base sync upgrade is quite nice.
I'm not in a hurry to get the apple USB hub upgrade, as I kind of think it's a pain in the *** to have to plug your phone in when you get in the vehicle and also maybe the price of the hubs will drop once some enterprising person starts selling them on amazon or something.
