I have read hundreds of post on this topic and do not see the update for 2016 Sync 3 2.0 to 2.2. Like madcap57 I did read a note warning not to install the 1.0 and 1.1 to 2.2 on a 2.0 unit. Sorry for cluttering the thread if that upgrade link is here, I could not find it.

updated to 2.2. USB hub will be here Friday. rocking apple carplay this weekend.
NAV takes several minutes to come back after update fyi.

Finally! Got it installed.. for the record my problem was the system volume thing that my computer was putting on my USB.., thx for all ur help!

Not wanting to wait 5 days for Ford to update your software and bricking your HU $2k... Watching random people redistribute other peoples software and taking credit for it, priceless.

Whats the big deal? If you bricked your HU, just go back to FORD and tell them you did their upgrade and it bricked...

Question. I downloaded the upgrade for Nav, which is in my truck. What happens if it turns out to be for non-nav? Will the system reject it or will it brick the head unit?
My unzipped files are slightly smaller than the ones pictured a few entries back. Is that going to be an issue. I have the autoinstall.lst and the syncmyride folder with 4 .gz files.
