For anyone wondering about the "This USB drive requires too much power" issue. I'm fairly confident in saying our trucks don't recognize USB 3.0 sticks, only USB 2.0. It explains why 'some' USB sticks work, and others don't. It was my exact issue as well.
Likely, I had to move all of my music to a USB 2.0 stick, as the 3.0 stick would randomly freeze.
The sample commands displayed have been re-worked somewhat based on what functions are most commonly used via voice as well as the current status of the system.
Settings -> Voice Control -> Toggle on "Advanced Mode" OR "Interaction Mode Advanced" voice command.
This will reduce the verbosity of the prompting in the majority of cases. Also removes the "Please say a command" from the initial press of the PTT/Talk switch.

So I'm on sync3 v2.0 owner.ford says I'm up to date which is obviously not the case. I'm NON NAV have a.usb stick ready to go.... is there a way to update it from a downloaded file not from actual ford? The mustang forum linked on page 392 confirms it doesn't work for non nav, I don't want to waste time at the dealer and Wi-Fi always tells me scan incomplete no matter how strong the connection with any Wi-Fi, even tried hot spotting my phone and still says incomplete scan.. any help or suggestions? I've read all pages and even though my brain now mush from reading on a smart phone I'm still willing to give it the college try lol
Thanks! I noticed it has the same popular commands on the screen now too. I have to admit I hadn't noticed it before!! makes life a whole lot easier now tho, before I used to have to wait or restart if I didn't use the exactly correct command!! (and yes, my Scottish accent probably doesn't help!!)

I would also advise those installing the 3.0 floating around that should you have an issue involving SYNC and you go to the dealer don't be surprised if you get turned away as that is not a supported/official update.
Another successful install with no issues so far to V3. Before install, I uninstalled Android Auto from my S8 cell. Did the sync 3 v3 update, took about 20 minutes total, rebooted itself in the middle of install, I shut off engine, opened the door and waited for everything to power off, restarted my truck and about a minute later the updated started part 2. Once complete, I turned off the truck and got out for a few minutes to let everything kinda power down and reset and then I reinstalled AA on my cell and turned on the sync3. Good to go, everything synced up, no asking for wi-fi or issues that others have reported.
Actually for user updates he is officially at the latest however he can have the dealer install 2.2 through OASIS. Although this weekend I noted that some things seemed to be messed up with that process....says its installing 2.3 but really it's installing 2.2. Unless you are having an issue I wouldn't bother upgrading.
