Default Cracked Windshield

Is a cracked windshield under warranty?
I drove in the Interstate highway @ 96 degrees with a lot of 18-wheeler trucks. I did not see any indication or mark that my windshield is cracked caused by the rocks or flying sharp objects.

Not usually. That's generally an insurance thing.

A warranty item is something where Ford is at fault. I've had this happen, passed the truck losing its load, called the office of the company dumping the load (decal on the door of the rig), and they covered the new windshield. Just described the truck/trailer, and that it had what looked like chewed up asphalt, and was losing it out the back at 75 MPH.

What office? Ford, insurance, or the company that owned the truck?

So, how much is the total damage if I have to replace with OEM windshield(including install)?
Price of windshield in Ford Parts is $367.

It is covered under your auto insurance, comp coverage. Pretty cheap. I just changed mine from $100 ded to 0 and it only raised my 6 month premium $4.

I've already replaced my windshield once, and need to do it again. My current windshield has 3 large cracks spreading around everywhere. I had 2 all winter but I held off. Then I bit another rock and that one's spreading straight up into my view. Glad it only costs me $100 through insurance but damn, these windshields REALLY suck. I've never had this much damage on a vehicle before!

My 2007 Xterra got hit a lot too and had a few small chips that I repaired (they never spread), but when I sold it in 2015 it still had the ORIGINAL windshield! My 2015 F-150 is getting its 2nd new windshield! They're super crappy and cheap. Must be thin as hell.

I need to replace mine. It has the rain sensor thats going to run me about $500 for the windshield. Thats going to hurt for a piece of glass.
