Who the hell gives a $10K deposit? Hell, I've NEVER given a dime for a deposit for cars and trucks I've ordered.

Same here, but I know the fleet manager pretty well. I did ask him once and they want a $500 deposit to order a vehicle.

No deposit here either. My dealer (who is also a good friend) said if I didn't buy, he'd just sell it to someone else. I didn't even go in, just emailed a build sheet from Ford.com. In fact, I ordered a 2015 platinum expedition last fall. It was a few days after they got it before I could get to it, and they said they had several people who wanted to buy it.

I saw the sales manager yesterday and he emailed the factory rep who is new to the job as of Monday.
I put 10 K down and when IF the truck ever comes in I will finish paying for it.

I just called Ford information. They told me cotus was never Meant to be used by customers. It was just for the dealers. I guess he never read the small print on the bottom of the page:
1The Status Description is for informational purposes only. Actual timing will be unique to your order. Consult your sales consultant for complete details.
2Vehicle images displayed are computer generated graphics and are not photos of the vehicle ordered. They are only a facile and may not exactly represent your vehicle.
3Estimated Delivery date is a calculated date based on the current status of your vehicle which is compared against the history of vehicles in that status from the scheduling system. It is recalculated each time you access the customer order status website and will change as your order is processed, your vehicle is assembled and shipped.
4The Vehicle Summary area does not show all features ordered. Consult your order documents for a complete list of features ordered.
