Me too!

My dealer stole my Mobile-1, filter, and didn't change the oil lol. I know this because my truck started running like crap (those with the 5.0 know what I'm talking about when the oil starts getting old) after a couple thousand miles, they never gave me the 1l leftover as they usually do, at the filter was the old one (I had brought in a different brand.) I won't go there anymore.

On the bright side, it WAS the fastest oil change at a dealer ever. 😂

I was fine with paying the dealer to do this since I couldn't find anyone who would take coolant around here. I still have a little bit of used coolant from my ATV that's been sitting in my garage for years.

around here the city/county owned landfills and transfer stations have areas for residents to drop off hazardous waste, usually at no charge. Try your local solid waste/public works department

Here we have a solid waste district with some town owned transfer stations, but my town doesn't have one. The other towns only let their own residents in despite being part of a district. Not that it helps anyway, I don't think they take anything beyond normal household waste and recycling on a regular basis.

There is a district-wide hazardous waste collection once per year, but it keeps landing on days that I can't get there.

The whole situation around here is frustrating.

I'm just looking for thoughts on whether that sounds reasonable for a complete system flush, or does this seem more to be simply a drain and refill? For some reason have it in my head that a coolant flush would cost a couple hundred dollars more than this, so looking for feedback here, thanks.
The dealer is not performing a flush for $179.95. The price is standard for Ford's drain and refill, which includes 1 gallon of antifreeze (e.g., not enough to flush and refill). My service advisor recommended the flush to clear the orange, but when I picked it up the coolant was still light orange. After a few questions and talking with the asst. service manager, they fessed up.

I purchased another gallon on Amazon, mixed 50/50 with distilled water, drained until the coolant reservoir was almost empty, and refilled. The process was repeated every 2-3 days until all of the coolant was used up and my reservoir remained yellow. I believe two gallons (50/50) took four drain and refills of the radiator.

I worked at an AZ as a Commercial Specialist a few years ago and no we had to turn away anything other than oil. Our DM put the fear of God in the store about that exact thing.

Water pump was leaking so took it in under the extended warranty. Dealer replaced the water pump and recommended a engine flush - so I bit the bullet - $219.95. This was done at 83k miles, 6.5 years owning the truck.

Now I'm wondering if they actually did a flush or just a drain and fill.
