Consumer Reports
Was just looking at the CR 2022 Buying Guide and for some reason the 2017-2018 and 2020 F150's are in there worst used cars and trucks section??? What did ford do? There was not a single Toyota listed in this section. Lots of Tesla's though. I would not buy anything tesla ever...

Hate CR all you want to. The reliability is based on a subscriber survey, not opinions. Things like frozen door locks, cam phasers, 10 spd transmission complaints, AWE grinding, leaking oil pans, failing clock springs, failing APIM's, peeling paint, peeling PVD wheels add up to an unreliable rating. It's just statistics. No reason to get fanboi butt hurt over it.
What did Ford do? Just going by this forum, the 10 speed transmission, pano moonroof, oil burning 3rd gen V8, warped dashboards, door locks, APIM are all common areas that have issues.
I still have my 2015 F150 and I would not downgrade to a newer year F150.

My 2017 tacoma had a awful rear end whine at 55 to 64 mph. They dealer did nothing. Corporate toyota would not answer any complaints I filed. The whine was so I loud you had to really turn up the radio. So screw consumer reports....lol

Sorry, but the Japanese manufacturers all have their fair share of issues as well. All manufacturers do. "American" manufacturers innovate. The others mostly copy and improve, AFTER they see what the issues are with the new technology. Electronics is an issue across the board with all of the manufacturers.
