Consumer Reports
I realize a lot of you do not put too much faith in Consumer Reports but I found this in CR this a.m.. Normally you see only imports in the top rated and best buys but in the latest CR they listed the top 10 vehicles most likely to reach 200,000 miles. 5 Toyotas,4 Hondas, and 1 Ford------- F150!!

The 4runner was on the list, but not the tacoma, which is known to run for quite a bit. The way it works with Ford and Consumer Reports is....if it's good, you take it as another data point. If it's bad, then they are biased and paid off by foreign manufacturers.
But since Ford quit building them like the use too, I'm hoping mine last at least that long, and that I'm still able to enjoy driving it then, as much as I do now.
There is no need to put 'faith' in CR. The reliability survey results aren't based on someones opinion, they are what people that own the vehicles report from actual use. They are very good indicators of which cars are problem free and which ones are junk. Using CR as one of several resources to evaluate a vehicle for purchase makes good sense.
