Okay, I’ve made a breakthrough thanks to a much earlier thread on this forum. I searched for dash lights that stay on.

You’ll notice in the picture I posted of the dash display that the P isn’t red (I work in the medical field and usually don’t hope for red pee). My truck doesn’t know it’s in park!

There is a connector in the console that tells the truck when it’s in park. Either that connector is bad or my shifter isn’t quite making contact because it’s loose in there. I suspect the latter because now that I know, I am able to get it to read park by wiggling the gear shifter.

The remote start, the easy entry, the battery drain now all make sense and are absolutely tied to having had my transmission replaced.

Feeling relieved.

You may need to adjust the shifter cable to get it to go into Park easier.

Glad you found the cause of the issue! They usually make sense once they are understood, but sometimes the symptoms don't make sense when you start to look at the issue.
