Default Clear bra

Anyone thinking of putting a clear bra on the front end of your '15?

Nice detail mirror finish all over or protect the front end and risk it not shining compared to the rest of the truck. But then again, rock chips don't look good either.

Opinions?

I'm not sure if you've ever had one on a vehicle before but unless you look at it at a certain angle you can't see it. I've been getting them for years. I have one on my truck now. Bumper, hood, roof, mirrors and fenders are done. You'd never notice a difference in the paint unless you walked up closely and looked for the lines.

What I'm worried about is when I polish up the truck, that the area that has the clear bra won't look as 'nice' due to it having a bra over the paint.

How does it polish up compared to the rest of the truck?

You don't need to polish it. If you get a quality film it will stay clear and not yellow. I'm a little more careful with mine during washes to not mar it and you can carefully apply product to it if needed. When I had mine applied my truck was about a month old. I clayed and polished the areas with my PC7424xp and then drove it to the shop where they do the work. I went over the paint again while in his shop just to double check it prior to application and wiped all areas with IPA. If you're looking for it, you can see the lines but honestly, you can't tell when you're 3 feet away. If it's not terribly cold later I'll try to clean the salt off an area and post a close up pic.

I used to park next to this young & reasonably hot nurse instructor at my tech school job. She had just got her Mustang back from the body shop and bought a black bra for the newly painted front end-and was asking me what i thought as I was a known greasy car type guy,etc.. I said i don't like bras on cars or you know what, as i was trying to keep my job- but she was also known to be one who probably didn't care much in that minor joke mode.
I still don't like them as it seems redundant to me to protect something in a way that hides it that we like to see.

Thing is, I'm ignorant of these "clear bras"-are we talking the hood front lip(where the rock chips come often) or the whole thing?

Just had Xpel Ultimate installed on the hood, fenders, bumper, mirrored and headlights. I had it on my Mustang and you could only tell it was there at the edge, which in the right lite looked like a really fine scratch. You can polish the bra with the rest of the car, but use a clear synthetic or the wax will build up at the edge and its a MF to get the wax off the edge completely.

When I get a 16 essentially the whole thing will we wrapped in xpel ultimate.
I can't 100% side with the people that just do sections when you might as well just do the whole hood for example for a couple extra bucks and you'd see no lines and your whole panel is protected.
