Default Cleaning Methods

Just seeing what everyone was using to clean and take care of their new trucks. Yes, MGD, I searched and found a few threads, lol, but I just was curious.

I'm really interested to hear what leather care products you folks use and like, also, what soap or shampoo as they call it do ya'll use for the exterior?

thanks.

1. Wash with Duragloss 901 (many detailing pros consider this the best car shampoo you can buy)

2. Polish with combo of Duragloss 601 then 105

3. Use Aquawax (951) as a finishing spray wax.

This will put down a protective layer that will last for at least 6 months. Water will bead like you've never seen.

These products aren't marketed in a fancy way and the packaging is plain and old looking but they just work amazingly well.

EDIT: Oh, and for the best single car product ever invented....CarPro PERL. Follow directions. Use on everything inside and out except paint and glass. Be amazed.

I wash my truck with Blackfire Wet Diamond Conditioning Shampoo. If it's just a quick wash, I won't put anything else on. The Wet Diamond stuff is really good. It makes your truck really shine just by itself. When I first bought the truck, I put on Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection. Every few months, I'll wash the truck and put on Wet Diamond Polymer Spray.

I haven't waxed my truck yet, but I will be doing that soon. I'm going to use P21S Concours Carnauba Wax. That stuff is amazing. It's probably the best carnauba wax you can buy.

mg,

I've always used either dish soap, or the turtle wax washing shampoo from dollar general, neither ever messed up my paint, but I would honestly like to do things right this go around!

4man150 - I've always used either dish soap ...
Big NO, NO!!! Unless ... You're stripping the surface in preparation for - clay bar, followed by wax/polish-prep', followed by wax/polish, followed by sealant.

As for leather .....
