Default Cigarette lighter replacement

Can anyone recommend a replacement socket for the cigarette lighter located in the front panel? Mine is very loose and has a poor fitting connection with anything inserted so I figured I'd try and just replace it but can't find much info about it online.

Try searching 12 volt power outlet. They have. Not put cigarette lighters in vehicles for a while now.

Before you set about to replace it, pull it out and see if you can bend the retention tabs to hold it in place firmly.

Hard part is going to be removing the old one. Ford has a special tool for pulling them out without destroying the housing.

To answer your first question, DM me, I have an extra.

I'd highly recommend either pjband's recommendation (they come in aluminum anodized red, black, blue) or the only one available with a Type C. I actually have both installed.

Once the socket is gone, there are no USB to 12V socket adaptors. And you'll have to replace it when it dies. When I ran power to the dash tray, I installed three 12V sockets, and stuck a flush mount USB charger in one of them.
