What are you guys doing to get rid of chrome door handles and chrome mirror caps? Local dealers want to sell all new and paint to match. Has to be an easier way to get rid of chrome.

I have a black truck. So it was easy for me to find a color matched wrap. I am definitely not a fan of the plastic covers from eBay. I’ve seen a lot of people paint the oem caps. They come out great. Although that might not be the case a few years down the road. I’m sure it’s fine if it’s done proper. With the wrap I can just throw new on after they’ve worn. Seemed easier to me for the time being.
I'm in the process of blacking out mine, but I had mostly black on the door handles, mirrors and window trim already. I have been replacing pieces like the rear bumper to a powder coated Raptor bumper and the Borla ATAK dual rear exit with black tips. I bought an OEM paint to match front bumper and having that powder coated and the Lariat Sport grill with the honeycomb black with matching white outline to be installed when I get the bumper back from the powder coater. That taillight chrome stripe and headlights needs to go too and I have the new front fender F150 black badge. My SIL did the lower panel with black matte vinyl wrap. I'll be waiting till next year to do the level or lift still deciding on that, then with new wheels and tires.

For my 2014, I bought XL handles and PTM with Truxedo Black paint from O'Reillys...perfect match. For my emblems, I bought FX4 black/red emblems. For my grill, I bought a EGR Raptoid grill. Followed up with black/red Ford ovals front and back from Etsy. For inside handles, I bought XL handles. Bought FX4 running boards. For headlights, bought retrofit HID headlights with custom painted reflector buckets (old halogens pictured). Rims are Remington Gravel with 34x12.5x18 Cooper Discoverer STT Maxx.
I will be replacing my OEM bumpers with real bumpers within the year.
I had to search for a long time to find my Lariat with no chrome package or sport package. No way I would pay extra for crap I can't stand.
They do exist but dealers are unwilling to order or stock such creatures. Found one and it was the correct mix of not over chroming the vehicle. Painted bumpers where we are is a no go as rocks just tear them up in no time.
