what are you using to run the OBDlink. Tablet - mobile phone - laptop.
If tablet or mobile on android - I use Torque Pro. with my mobile. Torque pro will have all the Pcodes for a modern Ford or it seems to. Plug in device, sync BT, launch torque pro - read veichle. any existing codes will show.
If PC you will need either FORscan or the software they sell with the OBDlink. I've not cracked into FOrscan but there is a thread on using it to read codes. Otherwise because I have GM too I bought their scanXL software - it's pretty good for most other cars and cost is reasonable for the ability to read not only ECU, TCU, BCM, ABS/Stability, and SRS. Because that's costly.
Anyhow - most of the quick scanning I do for powertrain stuffs I use torque pro - mostly because I got it for free. (google rewards program fake money)
