Angry Check Engine Light

I have a 2016 F150 2.7L XLT Crew Cab. 10,600 miles on it. Get to work this morning and saw the check engine light was on. Brought to Autozone to see what the error was and they said it was an O2 sensor. Then my Ford App sent me an email saying that there was a misfire error. Bringing it into local dealer in a day, but wondering if anyone else experienced this. Kind of crazy to see a check engine light on a year old truck!

OK, so this is common? I wasn't sure how an O2 sensor fault would be related to a misfire.

AutoZone said it might be a loose seal on the new air filter? They didn't tell me the code, they just plugged their store code reader into their computer.

You need to know exactly what DTC is causing the CEL. O2 sensors haven't been a big issue on the 2.7L Ecoboost. However there are some other known issues that can cause a CEL.

Have the dealer retrieve the DTC or if you have the ability to do so I will gladly look for TSBs & SSMs for you.

Yeah, my drive to work is between 5 and 15 miles. Usually through the hills of Hollywood. Not a lot of freeway driving. It just had it's 10,000 mile service two weeks ago.
