Default Catastrophic Breakdown

I have a 2015 F-150 XLT with 125,000 miles and no previous issues. Just purchased it 30 days ago. After driving a little over two hundred miles going out of town for the weekend, and turning it off. When I turned the vehicle back on it rev'ed high for a few seconds, then began to idle roughly. The wrench, engine service, and trac light are on. The dash information window displayed, "Hill assist is not available" and service trac. Also, when I put it in gear and press on the gas nothing happens. In park, if I press on the pedal the engine does not rev. It will move forward slowly, but it doesn't respond to me pressing on the gas. It is Memorial day weekend and all the service centers are closed until Tuesday and I am stuck out of town with the family.

Can anyone give me an idea of what might be wrong?

Could be your throttle body.

Aftermarket upgrades run about $500. That should get you in the ballpark. I had the throttle body on my 2015 replaced under warranty. I’m pretty sure the dealer estimate said something similar before Ford picked up the tab on an OEM replacement.

Have you tried unhooking the battery for 10 minutes to try and reset everything?

What are the codes? Good time to buy a code reader.

What he said!!! Probably won't work but you've got nothing to lose by trying it.

I’m confused. If you just purchased it 30 days ago, how can you state that it had no previous issues in the 125,000 miles it was driven before you bought it?
