Default carjack

Daughter (20 years old) was in Springfield MO with my truck. Meth head white trash tried to get in the driver's door after her at a gas station, calling "baby come here". Daughter thought quick, locked and reversed hard as he tried to hang on to door handle. She gets away safely. With my background do I lift prints from the door, submit, find, and then fix the problem? Glad I went through scenarios of how things go bad when I was teaching her to drive. Practiced just this possibility. Don't panic, fight hard, don't worry about the vehicle, use it as your weapon, get away safe, then call dad. It is your life, fight for it. I thought Chicago was bad.

Yes. Cj back ground you know what needs to be done. Make the call so others don't have to go through the same as your daughter.

I'm glad she's ok. This would be great as standard equipment for just that scenario:

Yes please do what ever you can to stop this from happening again.. Just remember to drop him off back home where no one will notice another one dead in the street.

I go to Springfield every 3 years to re-certify and S&W... it is a very desolate area. I am glad you taught your daughter well... more fathers should prepare young women for this type of situation.

Glenstone parkway south of I-44 at Shell station next to Motel-6 and Bob Evans in Springfield, MO. Teach your kids scenarios to escape and don't panic. Practice, practice, practice. Think. Teach them everything is disposable and wreckable but them. I used to teach others these things. Glad I included my kids. Go out tonight and run scenarios with your kids and abuse a car doing it. Make them comfortable and not panic. This could have turned out bad. I don't think I can express my anger right now.

I hate that your daughter went through that but I am glad she got away. How did the police handle it?

My sister in a rural part of Florida had someone rear-end her and try to get her to get out of her vehicle. She hauled *** at that point until she could get somewhere where others were and make a scene. This was before cellphones were popular and even though she had one there wasn't any service in the area. If needed she had her husband 44mag in her right hand which is funny because she is 4'11 95lbs and a good shot. They probably never actually seen her behind the wheel of that K5 blazer

Kevin - happy your daughter is ok today. Her being aware, not freezing up, remaining calm and taking action saved herself from trouble or worse. Your practice and instruction, helped her save her life.

Gas stations years ago were once a friendly place, no longer. If your not keenly aware of your surroundings, you may be setting yourself up for trouble, as they have become a hangout for low life's.

I'm very happy to hear that this had a good ending for your daughter and your family! Kudos for you for preparing your daughter for the worst and giving her the knowledge to keep a cool head in a very scary situation! This is the same reason I'm working on getting my wife her CCW and self-defense training. Now, go make an example out of said crackhead so he never does this again!
