Did you just re-use your old MAP sensor? I'm in the exact same boat as you and am looking at a new 2018 takeoff manifold from ebay that doesn't include the MAP sensor. I presume it's a "re-use" situation since I see mentioned above regarding drilling holes to mount it. I'm just getting all my ducks in a row before I pull the trigger and have my mech do this swap for me. Lots of good info here guys, much appreciated.
Depends if you’re using a mustang or a truck manifold. Truck manifold has the provision, just reuse your old one. Mustang manifold needs a hole drilled since they use MAF so there’s no bung or provision for it. In that case, most of us use some blue rtv to help seal it. Buying a 2nd map sensor, installing and letting the rtv cure before installing the manifold is something I’ve practiced and recommended before as I suspect this is something a few have dealt with when they install different manifolds and then their truck runs very poorly like it has a vacuum leak

Ahhh ok, hence the reference to drilling for a GT manifold...sorry I missed that detail. Much appreciated! One more question - and I may get some eye rolls for this - Does this swap, to the '18 truck manifold, require a cold air intake, or would the factory 2016 air intake fit just fine?

factory works fine, there’s not an issue unless you go to a boss or CobraJet style manifold

Do you have to do any modifications to the 18 f150 manifold like 18 gt manifold?

The 4th gen (2021+) F-150 manifold got rid of IMRC bullcrap in its entirety, but I’m not sure if it would fit the older trucks. There are other issues, as the throttle body in the 2021 and newer trucks is quite larger (87mm) than the smaller 80 mm version on the 15-20 trucks. So you would likely need the intake and throttle body of the newer ones.

No, purge valve just gets mounted on a length of hose instead of bolted down but otherwise no

Not swappable without custom adapter plates

the shop i take my cars to told me about this issue today, they have several customers with this issue.

Did this problem affect the 2018 5.0 engine? I assume no since people are swapping in 2018 intakes.

The shop just talked to Ford yesterday and still no ETA on part, i think the previous poster is correct, its past 7 years so no part.

BUT that might also mean the ones on EBAY are made by the original manufacturer but now they are just getting more profit at a lower price not selling them thru ford.
