No. In order to have Trailer Blis, you need the 2017+ BLIS modules and a 2017+ IPC. The 2017 modules will work on a 2015/2016 but the trailer blis will not work.

Dirty secret: BLIS is the exact same hardware, just with different blinker fluid. Buy the BLIS blinker fluid, fill your reservoir, and you'll get BLIS for free (well, the price of the higher grade fluid).

Ryan If I remember correctly it was determined that the 2017 modules WILL NOT work in '15-'16 trucks...the extra lines of code in the '17 modules prevents it from working

The door modules or the taillight modules? Feel free to DM me part numbers and details.

Ryan,

I was hoping since BLIS was an option on 2017 XLTs that all the wiring would be there in the body/chassis harness. I know I need to change the door harnesses(& modules) and taillight, taillight harnesses & add BLIS taillight modules.

And I definitely want Trailer BLIS!

I’m not sure about that. I helped Flyforfood add BLIS to his 2015 XLT a few months ago. He bought 2017 modules without knowing there was a difference. I used the as built data of a 17 XLT with BLIS and his vin number and they worked (Regular BLIS, not Trailer BLIS). I haven’t spoken to him in a while, but I’m sure he would have said something if they stopped working.

The wiring was not present on the 2015/2016 trucks so I doubt it would be there on the 2017’s. Your parts list is correct except you’ll need to add the main chassis wiring harness, door wiring harnesses and mirrors with the BLIS indicator lights. If your truck is a 2017, I think Trailer BLIS would be possible.
