I thought the exact same thing, but I'll trade the door activated interior lights for not hacking off the drunk campers.

Sounds easy, I guess you could put a tarp over your entire truck after dark.

Covering each light with something that would fit perfectly and not blow off, or get wet and fall off just isn't practical for me when the wind is blowing, it's raining, you're busy setting up your campsite, cleaning fish, cooking, and on...and on....and on....

No thanks, dark mode is much easier for me.

Yea and you can't use magnets to help keep them on the truck. LOL

Sounds like too much work anyway.

Not sure of your camping situation but maybe take the stuff out of your truck your wife is always opening it for and put it somewhere else. Surely u can be more creative than changing your trucks config?

I can hear me saying this..., "Honey, empty the truck of everything you might need this weekend and keep your hands off the door handles after dark." That's pretty creative! :-)

I'll still take the dark mode programming.

So just to get this straight. Dark mode will disable the mirror floods, the headlights, and the cargo lights when the door is opened? I already have the "dome" light disabled with the switch.

???
